8 BUDGET FRIENDLY THINGS TO DO IN HONG KONGTuesday, January 26, 2016
Normally people associate Hong Kong with skyscrapers, amazing (and expensive) cuisine, shopping, and nightlife. This was also the case for me. But during my four months in Hong Kong, I quickly realized that the city has so much more to offer than any other city in the world. And you don't have to be a millionaire in order to have a good time in Hong Kong. So here's my top 8 budget friendly things to do in Hong Kong.
The StarFerry and the Harbour front
Take a ride with the Peak Tram
Visit one of the many beaches
Dragon's Back, but it really deserves yet another post. One of the main reasons that I chose to spend a semester in Hong Kong, is the fact that only a few minutes drive from the city centre, you'll find the most amazing hikes and views. My favorite has to be Dragon's Back on the Island, but the New Territories and the outlying islands also offers some quite extraordinary hikes. In the New Territories, I can definitely recommend that you visit Golden Hill (also known as the Monkey Mountain), or Sai Kung Country Park, where you not only can go hiking, but also kayaking, snorkelling and several other activities are popular in the area.
Tai O and pink dolphin spotting
Hong Kong Dolphin Watch.
