3 CUSHION FOUNDATIONs YOU SHOULD TRY OUT

3 CUSHION FOUNDATIONs YOU SHOULD TRY OUT

If you’re as obsessed as me with K-beauty, there’s no doubt that you also have noticed, or maybe even tried, some of the cushion foundations that have arrived in the west over the last year. Still don’t know which one is most suitable for you, just keep reading!

Lancôme Miracle Cushion; You guys probably already know my huge love and passion for Lancôme which I’ve always thought was great, but amazingly enough Lancôme has only become even more amazing after Lisa Eldridge joined the brand. This lady is a huge K-beauty enthusiast so of course she had to incorporate that into Lancôme with the Miracle Cushion foundation and also the recent launch of the Juicy Shaker, and cushion blushes that will launch real soon. Lancôme’s foundations have in general always been amazing, but this one just blows my mind. Apart from hydrating and giving your skin a beautiful glow, this foundation gives great coverage, but still allows your own personal features, like freckles show through, which I’m absolutely loving! It’s super long-lasting, and for some reason I actually feel that it starts looking prettier for every hour that I wear it.

L’oréal Nude Magique Cushion is my newest addition of cushion foundations and the one that I’m trying out throughout the month of May. Since L’oréal Paris and Lancôme both are owned by L’oréal it was only about time before L’oréal Paris would come out with their version of the cushion foundation. This foundation gives you a very light, yet buildable dewy coverage, which is very moisturizing so definitely suitable for normal to dry skin. It’s not mind-blowing, but It’s definitely a more affordable version of Lancôme’s cushion foundation.

Laneige BB Cushion has to be my favorite of these three. I’m not sure if this is available in Europe as I bought it in Target in the US. Nonetheless, this foundation is, apart from being super hydrating and soothing like the two others, also amazing at evening out the skin and skin tone, and on top of that it has a matt finish while still giving your skin a dewy glow. Oh, and it also has SPF 50 and is water resistant. Finally, a huge plus with this foundation is the fact that you can not only buy refills for it, it also comes with an extra refill, so you basically get two foundations for the price of one.

Other maybe even greater options but that are less available in the west are the ones from Etude House, Sulwhasoo, VDL, or Innisfree. Definitely check these out if you go to Korea!

Have you tried any cushion foundation yet, and which one is your favorite?

  1. I've been wondering about cushion foundations – I love the idea but not sure they would live up to the hype. Thanks for sharing.
