On Monday I’ll finally be sitting on a plane that will take me back to a country that I since I was a kid has considered my other home. I’ll be heading back to the US, more specifically to Boston, to spend some much needed quality time with my best friend from when I studied in Arkansas three years ago. We haven’t seen each other since we visited Norway and Copenhagen together in May last year, so I cannot wait to be reunited with her again!
The weather in Boston is quite weird at the moment. 20 degrees and sunny one day, and almost freezing the next, so I’ve really been struggling with figuring out which clothes to bring. Luckily, picking out my makeup was a little easier…
Since I’m planning on stocking up on all my favorite products that I cannot find in Denmark, I’ve chosen to keep my makeup bag very minimal, with things that are either sample sized or almost empty and that I can leave behind when going back to Denmark.
For my base I’m bringing a few samples of the BB cream from Etude House and the Dior Skin Star foundation for the days that I need a little bit more coverage. To set my foundation I’m brining my beloved powder from Clinique which is pretty much empty. To add a little bit of dimension and flush to my pale face I’m brining both my Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder from ELF and a blush from Max Factor. For my eyes I’m bringing this old quad eyeshadow palette from Estée Lauder which I actually bring with me pretty much every time that I travel. It’s compact, good quality, and it has all the shades that I need for both a day- and nighttime look. I’m planning on stocking up on some of my favorite mascaras in the US, so I’m only bringing one mascara on this trip, the Baby Doll mascara from YSL. Finally, for my brows I’m bringing my eyebrow pencil from Lancôme along with my Maybelline Browdrama to make my brows stay in place all day.
